Mafia cards - help for teachers

Dear teachers.

I know, that teaching speaking is not the easiest in our job. There are some obstacles, which just don't let students talk. But if they weren't themselves for a second? That's it. That is why Mafia game appeared:) It always works during my classes.

Zasady:

Każdy uczeń losuje kartkę z danymi personalnymi, nikomu jej nie pokazując. Dodatkowo losuje kartę z osobowością, wśród których są dwie z napisem MAFIA. Teraz czas wprowadzić specjalną atmosferę... Ja robię to, czując co lubią moi uczniowie, albo po prostu wymyślam najbardziej kreatywne okoliczności. Na przykład:

We are the citizens of Gregtown. This is a little city in USA, just next to New York. It was very nice city until yesterday evening, when our dear friend was killed [tu wymyślamy kim była ofiara i ją opisujemy, wspólnie z grupą]. We do not have many visitors here - we had none yesterday, so the murderer was among us... We need to find him or her...

Teraz prosimy uczniów o to, aby się przedstawili i zadawali sobie nawzajem pytania w stylu:

Where were you yesterday? Was is about 7 or 9 pm? Did you know the victim? Did you like him/her? etc.

Kiedy cała grupa się już przedstawi i odpowie na pytania całe miasto głosuje na tego, kogo uważają za zabójcę (czyli MAFIĘ). Osoba z największą ilością głosów zostaje zastrzelona... (efekty strzału w linku - strzały z filmów), i przyznaje, czy wybór był OK, czy nie... Potem następuje noc i CITY GOES TO SLEEP - oczy zamykają wszyscy a po chwili MAFIA WAKES UP - budzą się osoby, które wylosowały karteczkę  MAFIA i eliminują tego, który wydaje im się najbardziej zagrażać, wskazując na niego palcami. Następnie prowadzący mówi MAFIA GOES TO SLEEP, chwilę odczekuje i dopowiada CITY WAKES UP  Gra toczy się, dopóki mieszkańcy nie wyeliminują z miasta MAFII lub MAFIA nie wykończy mieszkańców.  

Poniżej karty osób (wraz z zawodami (o które moi uczniowie pytali oraz te, które są najbardziej niezwykłe) 

wraz z danymi personalnymi oraz kart osobowości i funkcji w grze. Gra fajnie uczy Past Simple i zawodów a dzięki "niebyciu sobą" niweluje dystans do gadania. Nic tylko wycinać, drodzy pedagodzy...:)
